Make educational loans able to be bankruptable. Then banks will think LONG AND HARD about whether that Lesbian Dance Theory major is a good investment or not...

They were dischargeable in bankruptcy up until 2005 when the Democrat-controlled Congress dropped to their knees for their bankster overlords. Bush signed it and this led to a free for all for student loans from which we can trace the rise of bullshit "studies" majors.

Tie that to enormous debt loads and no hope of remunerative employment and you have all the conditions necessary, including an army of disaffected, indoctrinated, underachieving college graduates who believe if they dont commit any thought crimes, big daddy government will bail them out of the consequences of their shitty decisions and provide a nice, cushy apparatchik position in an air conditioned office.

Oh, and let's not forget all the administrative bloat and PhDs employed because of the bajillion dollar student loan subsidy that goes direct drive to universities who preferentially admit foreign students over American kids because the revenue is doubled, despite the fact that your tax dollars have subsidized those institutions your entire working life.

God, typing this infuriates me.

While we're at it, don't forget your mostly useless K12 system that tells all kids they can't REALLY be successful unless they're willing to tie the millstone of student debt to their necks.

Gaaaaaaahhhhhh!
