This is more in line with what the evidence shows.

This ^^^

I am no former intel op, but some in my family are and we were talking about how the original story didn't make sense.

This makes much more sense, and there is likely more on the CIA servers than were on the Scytel servers.

It it is true that Haspel and Wray were not informed, then they are shitting bricks right now.

Good, they should both be fired and sent to Gitmo.

If she felt like she could cry to McConnell then I wonder if he's more sus than I thought. Didn't McCabe cry to Ryan back then?

Even if it was, this may not be all that great... the encryption on the system will be hard to break at a minimum. That's being optimistic...

Yep, it could take years to crack that encryption.

Unless, (oh, crap!) they unleash the kraken? What if that is what she meant?

Dammit, now I'm spreading crazy theories!

There are a number of theories as to what that meant. I can tell you this though, encryption is no joke and if it is a CIA asset that was confiscated... there is very little chance that the ISSM (or whatever they call it in the CIA) will be forthcoming about the key.

I am more inclined to believe that the kraken would most likely be some sort of packet capture and if shown, would show exactly the traffic between boxes. Though again, that assumes it's not SSL or some other type of encrypted communication.

Very interesting if True, but I'm not going to take the word of some random website on the internet.
