I literally had no knowledge of this. I thought Cooper and a judge ruled it unconstitutional and that's when I used my vote to voice my opinion.

I am also in NC and I remember there being signs that said you do not have to show your ID in THIS election... I remember thinking that perhaps our VoterID had been reinstated but too late for this election and would be applied to future elections. Does that make any sense, not really, now that I think on it... but I do wonder if that is what it is...

Will voters be required to show a photo ID this election? No. Last week’s Court of Appeals ruling has no effect on the 2020 election because the issue of a voter ID law is still pending with other ongoing litigation in state and federal courts — so it’s not going to impact this particular election. But, this decision to uphold the voter ID amendment to our North Carolina Constitution is another step toward moving the amendment forward.
