Direct friends and family members who live there have confirmed it. Specifically they spotted them in Surrey headed towards Vancouver, and then a friend in Vancouver confirmed they arrived.
They are now saying it could be to perform a hostage swap. China has two Canadian's hostage currently, and Canada has Huawei CFO.
This would imply it has nothing to do with an invasion or anything like that and instead a permitted military extraction.
Well, that would be an act of war against Canada, miles from the US border. I dont think Xi is that kind of stupid. I would need some pretty good evidence to believe it.
That is a false implication. China already has a treaty with Canada and has some military presence there, and both countries hold hostages of eachother.
This could be a legal hostage swap.
