Some people enjoy being angry. The ideology that they’re a victim no matter what they do relieves them of all responsibility. They don’t want to try at all, because then they’d have to admit they weren’t good enough if they fail. They prefer safety over freedom like a sheep who is happy getting three guaranteed meals a day in its enclosure. There’s something comfortable, to them, about being a slave. They aren’t the master of their own thoughts and therefore won’t feel bad about failure. They can blame someone else. They are backwards and find freedom within slavery.
but, there's no such thing as total failure, since you you are more than a particular task? as in, that makes sense, but it's still mental illness in a sense, since your own expectations/perception can be set for yourself and adjusted with each milestone
i still don't get leftism. it's very confusing why many would want to be that miserable. especially the well-to-do, who don't even stand to benefit from the economic flank.
Most of them grew up in some sort of discord they weren’t biologically strong enough to persevere through. No father in the household is a big one. Or an emotionally distant one. A mother who shoves all her problems on the kid is another. Childhood experiences have a huge influence on us and its what we go back to as adults to feel comfortable. It’s why girls date men like their fathers, often abusive. It’s why boys date girls like their mothers, often naggy and overbearing. Again. They are backwards and find comfort in discord. Freedom in slavery. This is the long form explanation of why we say liberalism is a mental illness.
I agree with this analysis. A lot of it is personal and mental. Lack of father figures in particular are an issue plaguing society.

Comfort in discord is fascinating. I think that is exactly right. For truth-seekers and those who find beauty in order, liberalism is innately strange to us. Because we know it doesn't lead to order and structure (it causes illogical anarchy), and on the aggregate level, a more fulfilled society.
