My 80+ year old grandma is on a ventillator in the Grand Rapids/Cadillac Michigan area. They're trying to find her antibodies to start treatment but none of the hospitals they've called have antibodies that come from rare RH- plasma. If anyone with RH- plasma has donated their antibodies recently or will be to any hospital in Michigan, specifically Northern Michigan, I'd appreciate letting me know so that we can try to start antibody treatment on my grandma since she has not been doing very well and we're afraid she will continue declining without antibody treatment.
Thank you in advance!!
i havent had covid. is that ok?
For now, the primary thing she needs is antibodies so I don't believe your donation would benefit her immediately but I really appreciate your willingness to help! I'll say that your donation might help others in need of RH- blood which seems to be in low supply so if you can and don't mind it, then donating is definitely appreciated!
OK, if I can be of help, please dont hesitate to ask. My best to you and your grandmother.
Thank you sooo much and I definitely will! Thank you!
Thank you for your willingness to help and I will no doubt let you know if you can help! We really appreciate your response!
I mean.... you could have....
It’s possible you had it but never knew, were asymptomatic
Good point
Could get an antibody test, donating blood usually is one way for free.
