You'd demerit the achievements of an American agency working from American soil showcasing American talent and brainpower, in a forum dedicated towards American accolades? Questioning everything under the sun is going to lead you to nothing but frustration, friend. A more determined and smarter man would work hard to study aerospace from college, study to be an engineer/pilot, and either directly be involved in building these complex systems, or be an astronaut themselves. I doubt you have any basis to question without even partaking in the system.

That is an argument from authority, which is a fallacy. I am not demeriting the achievements, I am putting in question their validity. Just because I am not building space shuttles, doesn't mean I can not research it. And how can you says I can not question something without partaking in it. I can question and condemn paedophilia without partaking in it...

Lets break down this a bit, American agency? All of the scientists were german, who were taken from germany after the war under the operation paper clip, under the command of Von Braun (Who was a nazi, taken from germany after the war). Working on american soil, is the only true statement you made there so far. American talent and brainpower, more these days, but not at the time of founding. Forum for American approval? Well this is why I am questioning the validity of nasa. Because I think it is the pinnacle of criminality to be paid $56 million a day, just to show some sub par hollywood cartoons and claim them as reality.
