It was a great book that brought light to the very real issue of racism in the south, just like Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn was a great book. Neither should be banned, and book bannings NEVER end well anyway, even if you don't like them. This is a horrible decision by this California school district and nothing good will come of it.
To Kill a Mockingbird? That book was about stopping racism and its horrors. I remember reading it in high school. WTF? 🤡🌎
Coulda sworn we were taught EXACTLY that point. Furthermore, it was assigned to me to read by a teacher who proudly marches with a pink hat nowadays
