That's how it always has been, though. Thsts why Universal suffrage and direct democracy are terrible. All you have to do is promise really stupid people really ridiculous things , that's why they work to keep you dumb and dependent, and replace "undesirable " voters with "drsireable" ones.
Once all the undesirable ones have been replaced, they realize they can no longer produce enough food to feed all the desirables and the mass killings begin.
