No. Everyone at my job just tested positive for covid except for the three of us that never wear our mask. If this isn't proof then I don't know what is.

No! Like you've experienced, the people who wear masks more often are more susceptible to contracting the virus.

My pulmonologist said no (normal hospital/cloth masks); On top of that people keep tugging at them and touching them with their non-sterile hands. Even N95 mask’s are not 100% effective

Alot of people don't wash their hands after using the restroom either which makes it worse.

True, I got an argument at my bank about me not being able to wear my mask (medical condition), and the pig behind the counter reached her hand inside of a box to hand me a mask and that just made me more pissed off, she contaminated every single mask in that box. I’m sure she just took a dump and didn’t wash her hands, She look like a person who wouldn’t wash her hands after that. I wonder how many people get sick grabbing these contaminated masks out of boxes and shoving them in their own faces so willingly. This was on camera, I called their manager to complain later, and she said “I just finished watching the video, and we’re not happy that you were arguing with them”. 20/20 hindsight, I should’ve told her “stop handing out shit stained masks then”

Just finished the movie, Along came Polly (old movie), they made a point to talk about only one out of six people wash their hands when exiting the bathroom

I think the real answer is that a mask can reduce transmission, but without other precautions such as eye protection and observing clean habits in general, it is pointless. More importantly, COVID-19 isn't worth worrying about for most people and this is just kabuki theater.

I'm not a mask advocate, but for the sake of argument it's still a physical barrier that can block some particles even if it can ultimately be penetrated, so it probably can reduce transmission by a small factor if used properly. If masks have increased transmission, it is probably due to people not observing other safety precautions (being aware of cross-contamination, cleaning the mask, etc.) rather than a failure of the mask itself. For that reason I wouldn't be surprised if the masks become incubators for most people.

I think there is more to it than simply stating that "masks don't work." The argument is that mask wearing and social distancing will slow the spread, not prevent it, which is probably true if certain precautions are observed. My main problem is that COVID-19 isn't worth this bullshit and if the virus was truly serious (Bubonic Plague level), then a cloth mask wouldn't be my first choice because I would want to prevent rather than slow.

Damn, sounds like the mask might even be spreading it.

The problem with your assertion is that the test doesn't even work. So who knows if they even have it or not.

Masks only work for people that are already sick.
