This is why I've been beating the old "social program" drum for years. A state creates a welfare system, which attracts democrat voters. They are incentivized to have double the children, who are trained to vote democrat. Democrats come to dominate the mayoral races, local judgeships, district attorneys, etc, eventually everyone in local office or even a government job is democrat, and all in on the main goal: Flip the state and keep their jobs forever. You think they wouldn't cheat on ballots? Who would stop them? They all win if they cheat and the government sends them more money for more social programs, aka, voter bribes. It's a religious cult at this point, and standing up to them will get you run out of town, if not killed by some criminal who they released to keep their crime numbers down. Red states need to start passing laws that end this cycle. Ban immigration and government housing at the state level. Those precious voters will voluntarily relocate to liberal states to leech off of their system, just like the homeless all moved to sanctuary cities.
