So the crux of the situation is this: I've been invited to 2 places, both places are people who think Trump is a piece of shit, both places are driven by fake news, and both places have fallen hook, line and sinker for the Covid bullshit. Keep in mind that this is California.

So, I have decided to make a stand and illustrate their hypocrisy by not bringing my family to their thanksgivings, as I have always done, because, in my words to them:

"we must listen to the TV and politicians you have chosen to believe and adhere to these strict Covid practices. To not do so would be a violation of your chosen politicians mandates, and extremely hypocritical of you to pick and choose when you listen and when you do not. Either they tell the truth or they do not and you have chosen to believe them so I must respect your vote and opinion and follow the laws and mandates of your chosen politicians because for you to go against their word at this point is hypocritical at best. Either you believe them or you do not."

So folks, call me a dick all you want, but I'm fucking tired of these peoples hypocrisy and feel the need to lay it bare and show them that their belief system is shallow and meaningless.

Edit: Wow folks, I never thought this post would get this much engagement and thank you for that, I guess it hit home with many of you. If you live in California and you were supposed to adhere to these draconian and unconstitutional mandates you'd probably be as disgusted with those who blindly support these people and the fake news as I am. My main issue is how these people sit like Pavlovian dogs in front of the Tv and let it brainwash them but once they see something that they don't like they quickly say "I'm not going to adhere to this, I'm going to do thanksgiving normally" while the rest of us are expected to bow down for the rest of these demons rules. If you believe the Tv then pick a lane and stay in it. But conviction isn't something that changes with the winds. We have been demonized by the Tv as being racist, potential terrorists, and awful people for the sin of loving our country. And those who watch the Tv and support their politicians have to believe it to some extent. So I have contacted some like minded friends and we are having a Trumpsgiving with people who are not hypocrites. Thank you all for your input whether you agree or disagree, I will follow my convictions and not be around people who supported the cover attack on my ability to feed my family.
