Jack doesn’t give a shit about what he says, let along how he looks... because he knows nothing is going to happen to him. He probably would say it right to Cruz’s face that twatter has banned 100k conservative accounts and zero libtard acooubts, what you gonna do about that mr senator ? He straight up lied to Cruz in the last hearing and all Cruz could do was post a “oh look jack’s lying” confirmation tweet after the hearing. Zero consequences to Jack

It clearly looks like the big tech CEOs think of these hearings as a joke and nothing more or less.

These all big words no action hearings are a sham and so is circle jerking over this nonsense.

If half the number of people as the number of senators senators present in the hearing today just showed up at twatter HQ and asking those employees tough questions, it would have much more impact than this total Bullshit exercise

As long as I've talked to Australians they do this, "cool as", "sick as", "tight as", I always thought it was implied they were shortening "...as fuck" or "...as hell".

Eg "that's cool as fuck" or "that's tight as hell".

Using a non word is impossible. Words are created by their use. You can use a word you make up yourself, and it is still a word. Though, since no one would know what it means, it would be less impactful than a different word choice.

Not unless your definition of 'word' is 'any sound utterable by a human throat'.

Consider that the English language has rules. Is 'ghgh' a word? By estabilshed rules, no. Depending on context, it might have content that can be used to communicate with other humans that can glean some common understanding.

But it is not a 'word'.

7
PresidentialRex 7 points ago +7 / -0

Irregardless, words aren’t words until they’re used enough that they are.

A whole nother point is that I’m trying to think of a third irritating non-word.

Maybe I’ll just drink an expresso to get my thinker tickin’.

Also overwhelmed is not a word. But everyone uses it. That’s a bonus word!

2
zooty 2 points ago +2 / -0

"Overwhelmed" has an etymology going back to at least the 16th century so you might want to reconsider that statement.

2
PresidentialRex 2 points ago +2 / -0

Whelmed means overcome, so it’s redundant. Even if it’s been used for hundreds of years. And that just proves my point of it’s only a non-word until it’s used enough.

2
zooty 2 points ago +2 / -0

Dude, your bar to entry is redundancy? In the English language? Your dictionary must look like a pamphlet.

0
PresidentialRex 0 points ago +1 / -1

I argued that anything is a word if it’s said enough, read my previous two comments. This whole thread started because someone was glad that someone else said more impact rather than impactful. I made fun of that. FUN. Light-hearted. So many people here are so serious all the time.

P.S. over-overcome is redundant and overwhelmed should not be a word. And yes, I think we could do better with the English language, so did C.S. Lewis.

I wish he had quoted Obama’s remarks that internet censorship was the greatest threat to our democracy

16
ClownTamer 16 points ago +16 / -0

“The internet, you see, cannot be allowed to continue on, as it is. It is a grave threat, to our democracy. You have people, out there on the internet, talking about what’s going on, in the world. Someone can see something happen, in Philadelphia, and they can talk about it with someone, in California. That person, in California, can tell someone, in Nevada, who can tell someone, in Michigan, what they saw. The internet, cannot be, controlled. The keep saying that, President elect Joe Biden, is not the president. We cannot, as a people, allow this to happen. Our founder fathers, did not, envision, a world, where people, could communicate, and organize, all, over, the, nation, against, e,l,e,c,t,e,d, o,f,f,i,c,i,a,l,s. ,,,,,,”

Funny Obama loves the internet when it gets him elected and hates the internet when it’s pissed off at him and his handlers and wants them all thrown in jail.

I always thought that stuff was just poking fun at his wife, but I’ll admit, it’s pretty compelling, much like Canada’s leader being Fidel’s son. People talk about folds in defense of the dick thing, but there aren’t any folds that look like your balls swinging and hitting the front of your dress or pants on multiple occasions. Once? Sure. Twice? Maybe. Always? Nah.

Ted Cruz already said there's only 2 things he can do legally.

  1. Hold hearings

Since he cannot make laws due to the house of representatives rejecting EVERYTHING that is sent, he can only hold hearings.

Any prosecution is DOJ's responsibility.

His board can't find someone who will take the legal liability of a real CEO, nor does the board or "exterior influence" want a real leader.

They want a gay, bearded neanderthal with a nose ring who takes the punches but has zero input. This entire situation is orchestred and not driven by Jack. It wouldn't surprise me to learn his lieutenants have much higher compensation than he does.

Look at the business models of UBER and Airbnb, which are basically illegal taxi and hoteling services. They can run even when government is relatively functional (except in China, because you don't fuck with China unless you have Trump sized balls).

I know the election was cheated, but on a personal level, how stupid are the street level useful idiots out there harvesting ballots and doing whatever fraud? How can they be in favor of limitations on freedom of speech and election interference (because that's what this election was about), or how can they not be aware. I guess it only makes sense if they are 2nd or 1st generation immigrants who just don't give a fig about America. They came to get paid. But we know they are not all that, and that it is still no excuse. You can say it makes sense for the NWO visionaires at the top, but ordinary Americans, people, getting duped at such a basic principle, at this point, just makes me sick. It's the breaking point, because it's the point when words do not matter. Think about it. Nothing can be said to them, only done.

Dorsey looks like he’s starving himself to death.

Is he one of these assholes who thinks that if he restricts calories enough he’ll delay getting sent to hell for a few years?

It is a bold statement I make but one day if your not dead you will understand the wisdom in the words too late. These traitors must be put to death. It is really that simple. Once people see the punishment's being carried out over and over they will not dare to pull this shit again. At least not for another generation for those who never saw the executions. Let the tree of liberty have a drink. It is very thirsty.
