It saddens and amuses me to no end that the left is now the pro-war and anti-science party advocating for totalitarian control of the population 🤡

Trump has literally turned Democrats into Bush-era Republicans. He's that good.

dominion-bot 201 points ago +201 / -0

They were basically the same party taking turns fucking America until Trump came along.

the Dems are both war mongering and woke at the same time.omar hates white people but she would likely support the new overlords of the Dems bombing some brown people in the Middle East.the Dems are after power.

Globalists

6
Dictator_Bob 6 points ago +6 / -0

We should create a timeline of how this happened coupled with the injection of identity politics and globalism. All of which the "liberal" opposed just ten years ago.

3
MW23232 3 points ago +3 / -0

IMHO, the visible to us timeline became visible or memorable at least to the people, with PC. PC is really Marxism. All planned out long before that, but when they started telling us what was PC and shaming people . . . .

Truthdose 25 points ago +25 / -0

They were never antiwar...they were anti republican...

8
Tyrone_biggums 8 points ago +14 / -6

To be fair there is a real anti-war, anti-russigate, anti-TDS, principled left out there...

14
yragcom1a 14 points ago +14 / -0

Yep. Jimmy Dore used to run with the Young Turks, and has NO love for Trump. But he's blasting Biden, the MSDNC, the fake Russian narrative, CNN and the LibHawks on the daily.

5
Friendly_B 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yeah but they vote Republican these days.

2
frogwithbreasts 2 points ago +4 / -2

Yeah, the handful of leftist libertarians I know definitely fit that bill. It's the liberal buttigieg/biden/warren types who are easily convinced that war is good (or at least justifiable) if there's a 'humanist' element to it. problem is, it's really easy to sell em on the humanist element.

6
tombombadil 6 points ago +6 / -0

They’re not even anti-Republican, they’re just pro whatever they think is going to give them the most power.

2
zwiebelsaft 2 points ago +2 / -0

Bingo. Stick around certain areas of the country for long enough and you’ll realize this.

They always were. One thing that has astonished me on my journey from liberal to conservative over the past decade, whas how much bullshit we were taught about conservatives. Almost nothing I leared was true. The left has been distorting the truthfrom the beginning.

UNCLE JOE HAS ENTERED THE CHAT.

3
Daemoness 3 points ago +3 / -0

Right before I quit going to any site but TDW (IOW, election day) a moron liberal explained to its audience that there was no common ground to be met with conservatives/republicans , because "everything they believe is based on religion". Seriously. It thought the old moral majority/social conservatives are not just one strain of conservative/republican thought but its entirety. Whatever esteem in which one holds religious or biblically-based conservativism, it is NOT the entirety of it, at all.

It's really something ain't it?

1
The_Chocker 1 point ago +2 / -1

Why is Mitch McConnell against the idea? Is it just lip service to the neo-cons or is he a neo-con?

7
non-entity 7 points ago +7 / -0

Most of the gop are “ neocons” and yes mcconell loves him some war

If O did that it would be like Osama Bin Laden v2

It is true, war is good for the economy. But I don’t want to hear that argument out of the mouths of the same people who crucify Trump for “sacrificing American lives to open up the economy.”

35
Magazar 35 points ago +35 / -0

Digging holes and filling them up is "good for the economy". There is more to the economy than GDP. Especially if it is wasted on the wrong things.

24
CovefefeREEEE 24 points ago +24 / -0

War is not good for the economy. It creates massive debt. Always has.

10
yragcom1a 10 points ago +10 / -0

We gotta have SOME reason to print that hyper inflated money. What are you, a commie? Luv dem Ruskies?

6
nointernetforyou 6 points ago +6 / -0

Just be awesome at making cool shit people want then jobs and sales will follow. No lost lives, no endless hatred for our country around the world. Thats the way.

6
non-entity 6 points ago +6 / -0

Its good for the people in the war industry and they practically run washington

4
Auroraalpha 4 points ago +4 / -0

"productivity" ought to be the yardstick, not just "activity". After all, we have "consultants" paid millions to give a single speech.

26
OrangeLivesMatterCA 26 points ago +26 / -0

They only say war is good because it isnt them who has to fight it, it never is,

21
Imransgarage 21 points ago +21 / -0

Right, pretty sure we could have used that $8T here somewhere.

24
obviouslytom 24 points ago +24 / -0

Like space programs. Every $1 spent up there, we get a minimum of $7 in return. You know what else will piss you off, the amount of money that we "donated" to Africa could have paid for a complete Mars program. Not only going there, but setting up a lunar base to launch from and have a colony on Mars itself. But no, we have to keep throwing money at a problem thinking it will fix it when the only thing that can fix it, is itself.

The amount of money wasted on the "war on terror" could have done the same thing and more.

14
RosettaStone 14 points ago +14 / -0

pretty sure we could have used that $8T here somewhere

All $8T went exactly where it was supposed to go -- into the pockets of the international bankers who control the government debt, which the wars create. The government (both parties) stopped working for the people on the day the Fed was created, over 100 years ago.

5
WinstonSmith1984 5 points ago +5 / -0

Could have probably had a base on Mars by now

7
TickleMissle 7 points ago +7 / -0

Its good for a select few companies within the economy

6
doug2 6 points ago +6 / -0

Wars good for certain segments of the economy sure. And only if you win.

Not every country can dick down everyone else on a whim.

4
Phil_DeGraves 4 points ago +5 / -1

Wars good for certain segments of the economy sure. And only if you win.

War is great ALWAYS no matter who wins, if you loan money to both sides and make both sign agreements to repay their own debts plus those of the loser, if they win.

1
doug2 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes like I said, for certain segments of the population. Tell post world war 1 Germany that war was good for their economy.

5
Scroon 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ending these wars is going to start a war!

2
OrangeLivesMatterCA 2 points ago +2 / -0

Atleast we know what side is the evil side and if we go to war against China, maybe we can even re-elect President Trump for a third term haha

I disagree. They were really good cuts of steak, and okay lobster tail. Local and 3rd country nationals- contractors did the cooking. The steak was BOILED to shoe leather, then burnt to a crisp, whereas whatever they did to the lobster, you could really tell where somewhere down the line it was related to a cockroach. All of it was awful.

Still, we ate it cause it was fuckin steak and lobster, and still better than the alternate which was some kind of shit in gravy with curry over rice.
