How do I know, I am a father of a 27 year old autistic young man with severe cognitive limitations.
I was overwhelmed with instructions from ALL of my son's teachers and caseworkers to MAKE SURE I register him to vote when I got his ID at age 19.
This was 8 years ago. Every parent of a disabled child I know, regardless of state, had the same experience. I didn't register my son. I didn't vote for my son. I think that would be a fraud.
The disabled need a voice, I understand the logic. I also understand that CHEETING isn't the way to give them a voice. Thi
We do need a clear way to provide aid for the 10% of the population that can't function or think effectively for themselves. I hope and pray Republicans take up this challenge. Even if we don't get the mentally disabled American's votes (Because they are being laundered), they still deserve our attention and best efforts.
