We're supposed to believe terrorists shot missiles at a US base because we're leaving? Riiiiight...

I bet it was John Bolton firing the fucking things himself.

nope, it's a 20mm Vulcan cannon, not the 30mm avenger from the A10

right platform (well, C-ram) wrong gun!

Vulcan is used in almost every fighter since Vietnam (F105's to the F-22)

the Avenger is used in Goalkeeper CIWS, but a lot of these have been replaced with Phalanx now...

I thought the Cram was the missile (projectile) and CWIS was Cannon rounds. Hmm

Edit. Never mind that's this one SeaRAM

C-Ram is not just a gun, it's the control system for a multi-layer rocket defence system, that includes Phalanx like Vulcan setup.

I remember now.

Got confused with C-ram and SeaRAM.

This one The RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile is a small, lightweight, infrared homing surface-to-air missile in use by the German, Japanese, Greek, Turkish, South Korean, Saudi Arabian, Egyptian, Mexican and U.S. Navies. It was intended originally and used primarily as a point-defense weapon against antiship cruise missiles.

Trusting Muslims to hold to an agreement is about as dumb as trusting Muslims not to inbreed

More likely activated assets trying to force the US to stay by providing a threat. Still, take my updoot ‘cause you aren’t wrong.

The Iraqi people want the US out, the Iraqi govt is corrupt and probably would like the US to stay, and so would US defense contractors.

My money is on US contractors under the pay of the war hawks whipped something up to make Trump's wish to withdraw somehow, "dangerous, ill timed."

Ignore them, tell the Iraqi govt to deal with it or lose aid.
