For some, the point is not knowing any better. Up to this point (and beyond) they have ignored every sign and bit of information, and have willfully chosen to be asleep. They are the perfect example of lemmings lining up to walk off a cliff. Up until the end, they will continue to be extremely proud of themselves, for pleasing the establishment and celebrities, whom they believe are their superiors.
