Is anyone else getting into open confrontations with these degenerate face-diaper soldiers?

I am disgusted by their cowardice and lack of discernment. Several people whom I used to respect, I can no longer stand the thought of them because they have gone off the deep end with the mask bullshit.

People I have considered friends will now only meet on Zoom and refuse to see people under any circumstances.

It's pathetic and unrespectable.

Yup, life under the fear mongering media is pretty miserable. Everyone here on TDW just says "ignore the mandates" which I do but no one else in my life does. Businesses, bars, and restaurants certainly don't so I'm still entirely alone. I chat with co workers on slack. Once in a while I do a voice or video call. Otherwise I live alone and have no other social contact. For months and months now. Quality of life has certainly taken a plunge.

That’s the whole reason they’re doing this, to crush everyone’s spirits

exactly. Also, to see how much they can get away with in controlling people's lives, setting things up for the next step, likely forced vaccination

Same here. The people I used to go out to eat with occasionally are too petrified of the virus to get together anymore. Pretty much the only people I talk to have masks on and it's brief.

Very depressing, but that's life with COVID.

I am 6'3" 225 so the only person who has told me I "had" to wear a mask was a 20 something female. I told her I had a medical disability that prevented me from wearing a mask. Her eyes rolled back and the windows hourglass appeared asking for the new download to a response she had never heard before. I did not wear a mask there either.

I am still amazed when I walk into the local grocery store and I am the only person not wearing a mask. I feel like bleating in the store.

I hear you. I went to Smart and Final yesterday. Got a cart that had been out in the sunshine. Wore the mask to get through the door. Then pulled it down. I was like the only fucking one not wearing a mask. Got my stuff...try and stock up...but the cashier made me wear the mask for checkout...She didnt care when I said I couldnt breathe...she said she couldnt either. I got out of there as quick as I could, even leaving my receipt and $1.18 change there. I hate it that all these people are stupidly compliant.

they really do have that "misery loves company" hivemind mentality. Sorry to hear about your experience

I live by the state line..had to cross in to California. I went to ACE hardware that same day and proudly did not wear a mask and nobody said anything. I had to pay 15 fucking cents for a bag to hold my three cans of compressed air to clean my robot vac. Hopefully I wont have to go back for a few months. This is no longer America as we knew it.

that makes sense that it happened in my broken state (that and the ridiculous bag fee). The other day, I went to a Trader Joe's and they were hosing off all the carts and had sanitizing wipes on all the ones they'd just hosed off and brought back in. They wouldn't let me in through the entrance I used to always use and forced me to go outside so they could screen me before I came in. My scarf was just under my nose and the mask karen manning the door wouldn't let me in unless I pulled it up (we're talking like a couple centimeters here). It's stuff like that and my other experiences that make me not want to go out anymore. Everyone's so paranoid and authoritarian now. This state hasn't felt like part of America anymore for years, but this "new normal" is just unacceptable

mayflowerpatriot 4 points ago +4 / -0

yep, I was the only person without a mask at Walmart and Smart Food Source...lots of signs up about the mandatory mask at the entrances. I'm a 57 year old lady pede and no one challenged me...I overheard a lady on the phone telling her friend to come into the store without a mask because she saw me without one...felt good to encourage her. At the second store a clerk and I got into a conversation...he said "you must be a conservative"....to which I replied "always have been and I'm an ANTI-COMMUNIST" loud enough for the Portlandia libtard walking by to hear me....in the heart of blue coast of Oregon....

We need more of you and less “I just don’t want to offend anyone”. As if being made to,wear a face diaper, isn’t offensive enough

The more you do it, the better you get. I mean, it’s not like you have to cut all of your hair at the same time....just grab a chunk and snip...it all blends in!

ANOMIC 3 points ago +3 / -0

I do not comply. I walk in and act polite, when the door greater asks me if I want a mask, I simply respond “no thank you”. If they challenge me and say “but the governor...” I interrupt and ask “will you use force to try and make me comply?” They always answer the same way, “No”. Then I always say the same thing... “IF YOUR NOT GOING TO USE FORCE TO TRY AND STOP ME, THEN YOU ARE MERELY OFFERING A SUGGESTION.”

Walk on past them like a boss.

It’s worked everywhere in Vegas except when I had to board a plane to fly. In that case I bought a bag of peanuts and nibbled the whole flight with my mask off.

Some of this really seems to be generational. And it seems like the younger people are the ones who are the most freaked out and risk averse. Been out to eat a couple of times this week with sizable groups of people in their 60s and older and none of us wore masks or acted retarded. Only our terrified millennial servers seemed deeply concerned and fraught with worry for us. Sorry kids. We rode bikes without helmets and sports cars without seatbelts and fell out of trees and blew shit up with our Mr. Wizard chemistry sets and all kinds of dangerous stuff. A coof isn't stopping us elderpedes. 👌

I havent worn a mask once throughout this BS. Only had 2 people say anything and both were laughed at til they walked away.

Oh yeah mask wearers are weak. Ill give you some ammo from my mask file

Netherlands study

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nidon’th.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2440799/

cloth coverings only block 2% of particles.

Surgical masks block 4%.

N95 block 95% of particles.

Study somehow comes to the conclusion that cloth masks should be worn when nothing else is available, but the numbers dont support that.

Uk study

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7108646/

“However, these masks would provide the wearer little protection from microorganisms from others persons who are infected with respiratory diseases. As a result, we would not recommend the use of homemade face masks as a method of reducing transmission of infection from aerosols.”

Vietnam study

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25903751/

https://archive.is/1Qeuz

“An analysis by mask use showed ILI (RR=6.64, 95% CI 1.45 to 28.65) and laboratory-confirmed virus (RR=1.72, 95% CI 1.01 to 2.94) were significantly higher in the cloth masks group compared with the medical masks group. Penetration of cloth masks by particles was almost 97% and medical masks 44%.

Conclusions: This study is the first RCT of cloth masks, and the results caution against the use of cloth masks. This is an important finding to inform occupational health and safety. Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection. Further research is needed to inform the widespread use of cloth masks globally. However, as a precautionary measure, cloth masks should not be recommended for HCWs, particularly in high-risk situations, and guidelines need to be updated.”

University of wales

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/04/150422121724.htm

https://archive.is/nuJeL

“The widespread use of cloth masks by healthcare workers may actually put them at increased risk of respiratory illness and viral infections and their global use should be discouraged, according to a UNSW study.

The study found respiratory infection was much higher among healthcare workers wearing cloth masks. The penetration of cloth masks by particles was almost 97% compared to medical masks with 44%

The authors speculate that the cloth masks' moisture retention, their reuse and poor filtration may explain the increased risk of infection.”

And just for shits and giggles, a study on burqa use that accidentally found that wearing burqas increases the risk of respiratory illness

King Saud University

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/11829600_The_Effect_of_Wearing_the_Veil_by_Saudi_Ladies_on_the_Occurrence_of_Respiratory_Diseases

https://archive.vn/Eu5fq

Burqa use linked to increased risk of respiratory infections

“It is customary in clinical practice and elsewhere to put on a mask for protection against infection, dust, and so forth. The veil, which is traditionally worn by women in many Muslim countries, especially in Saudi Arabia, may have a similar effect. The study was carried out during 1998-1999 in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia. Adult women were asked to answer a structured questionnaire related to the occurrence of respiratory tract problems and about veil wearing. Veil wearing was practiced by 58% of the sample. Respiratory infections and asthma were significantly more common in veils users (p < 0.00001 and p < 0.0003, respectively). This unexpected finding was probably secondary to infection.”

They call us conspiracy theorists, but think that every single country for the last 25 years worked together to hide how effective masks are at stopping flus. Peer reviewing and replicating the results over and over again, all as a ruse to keep people dying from the flu or something.

Even Alex Jones would look at them funny for that.

Dont wear the mask. Force them to kick you out of places.

It is pathetic. I want to go to a bar and have a drink, maybe talk to some women. Feels like centuries.

Australia might be a few medals ahead in the globalism games, but at least we never had any mask mandates (except for Victoria). I haven't worn one once, and I'm going to do my best to keep it that way.

I saw a post (I think it was here on TDW) where a guy was wearing a large dog “cone of shame”. I think I’m going to buy one of those and wear it to show the stupidity of the whole thing. It’s got to be as good as the face shields, right?

I went to the grocery store without one the other day. Was the only one not wearing it. People looked, but no one said anything.

I would not try to argue with anyone. I would just explain that as a sign of civil disobedience I refuse to wear a mask until the voting irregularities of the 2020 election are thoroughly investigated and corrected. If they still try to berate you, tell them it is your civil right to protest.
