Be sure to follow all laws and regulations. I have seen potential candidates refused positions on primary ballots because of minor irregularities in their petions. They are always challenged - the opposition will check to see if everyone who signs is actually an active registered voter in the district and all of their information is correct. Double check to make sure - and it never hurts to have more than the required signatures in case anyone is bounced.
