I work in biotech and they all believe it. They all talk about the lockdowns and are all into wearing masks. Many of them have phds or masters degrees. It's clear they never actually look up the data or read journal articles. And dont even try to bring up data or research to them, that makes you the weirdo, for literally having information.
I know how that feels - Ivy League/ MBA here (sky-high GPA my whole life) and I was typically the extreme minority in my ability to critically engage with an argument, from assumptive framework to the arguments themselves to the ramifications of the decision being discussed-direct or otherwise.

On one hand, some folks here say that Dr. Shiva made a mistake and that's why his graph looks the way it does (but I think that the fellow saying that didn't understand the graph axes and the analysis that led to such result)
On the other hand, it is my impression that the Stand-Up maths guy substituted the question (whether by way of honest mistake, or malice) to come up with a similar graph just so he could show the same trend for Biden as well

I have degrees in EE and biomedical science. I watched Dr. Shiva's entire video and the math and logic behind it made sense to me. I can find no logical explanation as to how trump would lose a higher percentage of trump votes in places with high Republican single ticket ballots. As the Benny guy explained in the video, if there were reps biased against trump the line should be horizontal some % below 0, not increasing at a constant %.

But the reason for that is simple psychology. That's why the misledia is so successful as well.
The human mind operates on its ability to compare incoming information with what it already has. Usually whatever fills the slot first would be the information compared against whenever some new information comes up and challenges it. If the new information conflicts with the old one, this cognitive dissonance automatically biases the brain to consider the newcoming information a threat.
I think one has to be mature enough mentally, and be aware of this process to allow new (and correct) information to replace the old (and incorrect) info.
You might be surprised how easy it is to indoctrinate kids, although the child's brain biochemistry is considerably different from an adult brain. Kid brains are set up to absorb new info until the age of 6 give or take, so it might be easier for them to filter it. The biases are still there if instilled early enough though.
The adult brain needs make an effort when considering new info, and the brain is known to really not like making any sort of effort if it can avoid it.

I work in biotech and they all believe it. They all talk about the lockdowns and are all into wearing masks. Many of them have phds or masters degrees. Hi, if you deal with data analysis, could you possibly take a look at the video of Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai talking about the vote flipping, and the stand-up maths video trying to debunk it? On one hand, some folks here say that Dr. Shiva made a mistake and that's why his graph looks the way it does (but I think that the fellow saying that didn't understand the graph axes and the analysis that led to such result)
On the other hand, it is my impression that the Stand-Up maths guy substituted the question (whether by way of honest mistake, or malice) to come up with a similar graph just so he could show the same trend for Biden as well

I have degrees in EE and biomedical science. I watched Dr. Shiva's entire video and the math and logic behind it made sense to me. I can find no logical explanation as to how trump would lose a higher percentage of trump votes in places with high Republican single ticket ballots. As the Benny guy explained in the video, if there were reps biased against trump the line should be horizontal some % below 0, not increasing at a constant %.

I've heard "science is fact" as an argument numerous times - I don't even know where to start with all the ways that statement is stupid.

The human mind operates on its ability to compare incoming information with what it already has. Usually whatever fills the slot first would be the information compared against whenever some new information comes up and challenges it. If the new information conflicts with the old one, this cognitive dissonance automatically biases the brain to consider the newcoming information a threat.
I think one has to be mature enough mentally, and be aware of this process to allow new (and correct) information to replace the old (and incorrect) info.

You might be surprised how easy it is to indoctrinate kids, although the child's brain biochemistry is considerably different from an adult brain. Kid brains are set up to absorb new info until the age of 6 give or take, so it might be easier for them to filter it. The biases are still there if instilled early enough though.
The adult brain needs make an effort when considering new info, and the brain is known to really not like making any sort of effort if it can avoid it.

The Ascent of Money: A Financial History of the World
(The author married to Ayaan Hirsi Ali by the way, in case you'd find that interesting.)
The author isn't MAGA or anything, but he discusses the economics behind major historical events or trends (e.g. why did Jews get into money lending? Why did the Arabic Numeral System catch on so quickly in Europe? Why didn't Spain take over the world after it discovered so much silver and gold in the new world? How did the Rothschilds help the British defeat Napoleon etc.?).
The only thing I dislike about his book is the discussion of the Great Depression. He goes with Milton Friedman's thesis that Federal Reserve caused the Great Depression by NOT intervening enough. Ron Paul would strongly disagree with that assertion.
