We have never done this before. It is not proven to have worked anywhere other than tiny islands like New Zealand (where the travel ban was the more important aspect).

Well where I am, all restaurants and bars and most workplaces have been closed. So I had little choice but to go along. And it's done nothing except set us up for a "new" lockdown.
