Hawaii had a very close election between JFK and Nixon in 1960 that included a recount. Both slates of electors ended up going to DC and both slates had certification signatures from the governor. Nixon was president of the Senate (vice president) so he was in charge of reading off the votes. Presumably, he could have invalidated the certified slate of Democrat electors, as the governor had signed off on both electoral slates, but he ended up reading off his own loss.
Seems to be a bit of confusion here about which part of the Electoral College is doing what. Basically, the electors who would be sent if Trump takes Nevada are sueing the electors that would be sent for Biden. They are asking, if they win the case, for either Trump do be declared the victor so they are the ones certified as electors, or failing that, that no electors be certified. So it's the same kind of thing that's happening in the other states, it's just that the plantiffs and defendants are the candidates for the Electoral College this time.

I have no doubt that Sisolak and dems already did this play in 2018. We went to bed with Laxalt way up in the election and woke up with Sisolak, but we cannot entirely blame fraud. Hawaii had a very close election between JFK and Nixon in 1960 that included a recount. Both slates of electors ended up going to DC and both slates had certification signatures from the governor. Nixon was president of the Senate (vice president) so he was in charge of reading off the votes. Presumably, he could have invalidated the certified slate of Democrat electors, as the governor had signed off on both electoral slates, but he ended up reading off his own loss.

Seems to be a bit of confusion here about which part of the Electoral College is doing what. Basically, the electors who would be sent if Trump takes Nevada are sueing the electors that would be sent for Biden. They are asking, if they win the case, for either Trump do be declared the victor so they are the ones certified as electors, or failing that, that no electors be certified. So it's the same kind of thing that's happening in the other states, it's just that the plantiffs and defendants are the candidates for the Electoral College this time.
I think they are sueing whoever manages the election in Nevada.
They are not sueing Biden's electors, that would make no sense.

Ah looked it up before finishing the comment, this is specific procedure for contesting a Nevada election, found from the Nevada Secretary of State website. This is where we are: NRS 293.407. So, it looks like the people who were elected (in this case the Biden electors) are the defendants for a contest.
Biden's electors have not been elected. They will be, if we can't avoid it, when there's the certification and no later than the 8th of December.

I don't get this - the electors are pledged to support Biden as he "won" the state. Does this mean the Dem electors are challenging the results, or that the Republican electors who would have been sent to vote if NV was red are challenging the result?
There are electors for each candidate already pledged to vote for them. We don’t vote for the President, we vote for his pledged electors. The Trump electors are challenging.

IIRC both sides appoint them ahead of the election, and the ones from the winning side get to cast their votes.
