Once Trump is confirmed for re-election, the left loses any ability they had to win a civil war. At that point, Trump can invoke the insurrection act and use the military against any sort of rebellion. They'll have no way to win and it would end quickly.
The US Army has struggled with asymmetric warfare only because they have been held back by politicians worried about optics. Give em wide birth and you’ll be surprised.

Normally, I would agree with you, but the US Military has always struggled with asymmetrical warfare.
