I won't admit that. I count at least 12 scandals greater than watergate they've done since 2008.
In 2016 they started the year off by staging their primary for Hillary Clinton. The democratic primary is the 2nd or 3rd largest election in the USA by total votes.
The FBI then ran a fake investigation into her, one designed to look to get her off rather than investigate the alledged crimes, letting her blatantly commit felonies and for a cherry on top they even let her brazenly destroy 30,000 documents under government subpeona.
And of course we all know that they then used the FBI to spy on the Trump campaign in a clear attempt to rig the general.
Those 3 scandals should give a fairly good idea of the scale of corruption we are looking at. The things they are willing to do. The Oaths they broke.
He probably didn't know anyone best suitable for the specific jobs when he first came into office because he was an outsider. He had to take advice from others who were probably swampy. He's presumably replacing people he's firing with people he's gotten to know and trust better since he's been in office.
It's not fair to only blame GEOTUS. Did he take recommendations from the wrong people? Yes absolutely. But at the same time, the corrupt AF Senate Intel Committee approves the intel cabinet picks, including CIA Director. No way in hell would they EVER confirm a patriot to those positions.
The exception to this is DNI John Ratcliffe. Mitch McTurtle and the Senate Intel Committee told GEOTUS that Ratcliffe was DOA the first time he was nominated. GEOTUS was only able to get Ratcliffe confirmed by putting Grenell in as acting DNI, because they were more terrified of Grenell than they were of Ratcliffe.
I recommend everyone expect that kind of appointment strategy from GEOTUS going forward.
She doesn't need to "go". She needs to "disappear". And then a bunch of other swamp creatures need to start "disappearing" as a result of what she's doing to try and save her own ass.
Clarify pls.. She promised to be a good CIA conduit. Buhhhhh/ No way. She still fluffs her now X-boss. Gina Haspel - Hydra Head #3. swampy Hoe.
since May 21, 2018
Trump is the president. He has the authority to shut down the entire agency if he wants to with the stroke of a pen. Obviously he wants her there right now.
Not entirely. The CIA is a civilian federal agency created by Congress and is under their supervision as much as the president's. The president's authorization is limited by law. (in my opinion this makes them an unconstitutional 4th estate, but I guess the courts disagree)
They are also very powerful. The president knows this and has planned out everything carefully.
You're probably right about Haspel though. She's still there for a reason.
Admit it. We were all surprised how big and deep the swamp was.

This is one "tick tock" you can probably count on.
Looks like someone’s mom.
who is that? Sorry, I do not watch any tv news.
That’s a man, baby!

Completely agree re 4th estate, these are institutions are wading in very murky constitutional water, especially egregious in cases like the CFPB.
