My family looks at my oddly when I flat out refuse an Alexa/Siri/Google “smart” device in my home.
No, I don’t want a “personal assistant.” No, I don’t want something to play “any song at any time.” Why? Because the price is too high. Having a microphone listening in on me endlessly isn’t worth the convenience.
My concern is extending to my phone, too. It is probably the greatest tracking device ever conceived. I’m trading down to a dumb phone - and will be placing it in a faraday bag when not in use.
