That's what I said last night. Trump is letting Kemp know that he has an out. Republicans are about ready to unsheathe their knives and put an end to his professional and personal lifestyle. And we know Democrats are already looking to destroy him before the January runoff.

Unless Kemp truly believes he's innocent of any allegations or investigations, he's probably trying to find the easiest path forward. If he's implicated in anything criminal, Trump and the DOJ can help him find a soft landing if he gives them what Trump wants (and deserves).
