Parler is not as mainstream as Twitter. I'm sure if you asked most Americans or even just Trump supporters, the great majority won't even know what Parler is. But they do know what Twitter is and know that Trump loves to tweet.

Trump doesn't concede to bullies. Twitter is trying to bully him off the platform, and he's not gonna move an inch.
Signing up to another platform shows that he's willing to bend, when he's not.
