I saw a couple of other threads that had this link in the comments and I thought I would share the link again for anyone else who wants to share their stories with Rush.

Listening to the radio as a kid in my mom's car.
Same, dad's
Yep, my Dad listened to him all of the time.
Ah the memories of dads pickup truck, baseball practice, and Rush.

Me too! Red crown Vic
Same!
same!
Checking in as well, dad had a Buick fleet car with a car phone. I was but a small pede but I remember it like it was yesterday. Also John and Ken were a stable growing up.
Hah holy shit that's some nostalgia
Don't you think the rebel Revolutionary soldiers sat around the campfire at night talking about things that united and inspired them? If we are in for a fight, we have to stay united. Stories of so many similar experiences help do that. God bless Rush!
Been to several protests in AZ, called out sick for a few as well. I'm doing what I can.
so many based pedes love a Canadian band

Greatest band of all time
Same. Fall of 1990, early days of the Gulf War. Riding around town with my dad in his truck. We loved the parody songs he used to play on his show.
Yes! The parody songs! My favorite was to the Elvis tune, In the ghetto, but it was called "In a Yugo" Those songs were the best
Same! 😂 My dad listened all the time and I always cracked up at the Yugo song! Also remember after Clinton won and he would alway end the segment “ah ye 43%... Suckers!”
They still play the parody songs and commercials on the ditto cam feed and audio feed if you’re a rush 24/7 subscriber
A pharma sales rep in upstate NY told me about him.
for younger pedes who've never heard it: https://youtu.be/tZzKUt4OtE8
"The Philanderer" by Fat Teddy is one of the funniest things I've ever heard.
for the younger pedes: https://youtu.be/f4huqCCBcSI
That's the one! Thanks and an updoot!

Same here, Dad listened all the time back in the day.
Same here.
Same. Being picked up from school in the late 80's. Rush and Mark Belling. :)
Morton Downy Jr was kicked off of the radio in Sacramento CA in the 80s, my father and I would listen to him all the time. After that happened this dude named Rush came on and would talk shit about Rio Linda. I fell in love with rush in the 80s and still have a crush on him to this day.
Was that when he was just a guy on the radio in Sacramento? That’s when I started listening. A close friend told me about him - I tuned in and have been listening since. I love Rush and can’t imagine a day without him in it. Rush knows his talent is on loan from God, so when the Lord calls him home I will find a way, knowing that in due time we will spend eternity together in heaven. I hope when the time comes, President Trump will allow him to lie in state at the Capital - he deserves it for all he has done for America. Rush is a patriot among patriots.
yep, just some rando that was spitting truth in the late 80s
His Rio Linda was hilarious.
to this day he still hates Rio Linda.. mad respect
“...for those of you in Rio Linda.” His disdain has been persistent.
lucky!
His show was pretty awesome. For me i can't remember the order but I think Rush then Morton was on. Friends at keggers I was home with a bowl learning the right lol.
Yup! Xo
My parents listened to it while we moved into our first house in America.
My dad told me not to listen to him.
Good one
Conservatism is the new punk.
Andrew Breitbart’s book. I was asleep for most of my life thinking Rush was some conservative shock jock. After learning about Andrew Breitbart and reading his book explaining how he found Rush, I gave him a listen to. That was 5 years ago and I’ve been listening to him almost daily ever since.
Andrew will be avenged. They all will.
My first red pill will always be 9/11. After that I learned about the CIA heart attack gun. When I heard the news of Andrew's passing, I knew right away they killed him.
Righteous Indignation is an amazing book.
How did Andrew find Rush?
Here’s his audiobook free on YouTube. You’ll have to hear the story for yourself. https://youtu.be/6UJXr78SSqA
Thanks!
There have been a few times when Rush discusses that portion of Breitbart book and his relationship with him, it’s so dope. Two thoroughbred patriots.
This is the most based post I've seen all day.
His TV show would come on after my mom's afternoon "soaps". We would watch it together as it was fun for the whole family. He was a lot more light-hearted back then and told a lot of great jokes about Bill Clinton.
Same here. He had a great TV show; very funny and entertaining. I was sorry to see him end it.
Wow, that is a clip of the story of our country right now. It's shocking. It's being murdered and the Left is laughing, pretending it cares for us, the Constitution, and law and order. Thank you for posting this. I didn't know it existed, and it sure is an eye-opener.
Bill in that clip------> 😂😬😰
That's how I first heard of him. America Held Hostage, Day ####.
My dad would tape it, and then watch it while eating breakfast before work; I'd join him while eating breakfast before high school.
Oh man I remember my mom watching soaps but sh never tuned in to Rush after. TIL Rush had a TV program.
Hard to forget the first time you hear Geddy’s high pitched voice, Neil’s incredible rythm on drums, and Alex’s mesmerizing guitar riffs... oh wait, that Rush.
Probably his based Twitter posts.
For those of you in Rio Linda that is a famous Canadian three piece rock band called Rush.
Well played my friend 😎
Through TD
Dad and I would listen in the truck in the 90’s as we fed cattle on the ranch. Why oh why did I become an IT professional when I could have owned 3000 acres.
Not everyone's smart
We need based big tech people. Rise up the ranks and become ceo of google
This is legit making me cry just because I know he isn't going to be with us much longer.
I hope he releases all of his work as an indexed anthology.
Rush baby. Father had him on while he built homes.
Family Guy. So naturally I knew he was legit.
Same^
In the early 90's I was given a vhs copy of a copy of the secret first documentary about the dirty Clintons and their child murders, drug deals out of the Mena Arkansas airport, numerous sexual assaults. The documentary seemed credible with eye witnesses, etc. I was aghast when Bill Clinton was going to be the candidate for President. MTV promoted him. The News promoted him. Then one day I was flipping through the radio and heard a bold man declaring his talent was on loan from God and he was here to tell us about Slick Willy Clinton and all their crooked dealings. His words rang true and I was hooked! The Clinton/Bush election was the first time I'd voted and was devastated Billy boy won. I'd have never made it thru those years without RUSH!
I do believe it was! If it goes into the boys that were killed on the railroad tracks by Clinton thugs, then it's definitely this film. Wow, can't believe you found it.
This is when I started listening to him. I didn't know who was who, I would ask my husband, now which one is Bush? Ross? Rush? I have been listening ever since.
I used to commute. AM radio was big back then. El Rushbo was always on.
Almost 100% in English with a little Spanish lingo!
Had a driving job picking up dead bodies. The van had nothing but an ashtray and an AM jammer.
I was twelve years old and I found a copy of "See, I Told You So" for $1 at a garage sale.
I spent the first half of the 90's in federal prison with bikers and wise guys. I met people like Lyndon LaRouche, Rev. Jim Bakker and Gambinos. About a year in, I met Jesus Christ and He saved my soul. I later met Rush on a little AM/FM Walkman and he changed my thinking, which then changed my behaviors and saved my life.
My dad played him constantly growing up and then as I got older and realized most republicans were lacking the balls that he had, I started to respect him even more.
TOM SAWYER!
MODERN DAY WARRIOR!
My high school physics teacher was a fat cunt and a biology major with a minor in dumb shit. I figured anything she said had to be wrong and then she went on a rant about Rush in class. So I figured I'd check the guy out.
1992 I was 12 years old and watched him on TV before I got on the bus for school in the morning (we got 3 channels using an antenna, 2, 4, 7).
I was always a geek, but Rush Limbaugh turned me into a political junky... been one ever since. I'm now 40.
I used to come home after a night of partying (in my teens) and flip through channels to find something to watch. I found his show and thought it was funny. After a while I would turn straight to it and I started to notice that things that he had predicted weeks ago were right.
Was 8 or 9 years old. Dad used to have an old Chevy Tradesman Van that our family used to go camping. I remember hearing a crazy man that was talking about politics out of Rio Vista area CA, which was 20 miles from my house. listened to him off and on for 20 years. When Hussein became president I became a daily listener. Now 30 years later its hard to believe.
Working in a video store. Couldn't find shit on the radio then came across Rush.
Some Lefty retard lady started complaining one day when she was in renting some dumb movie. I didn't turn that shit off.
2007, 2008 election year. In my own car, young and naive but I was doubtful when every MSM was backing Obama. Rush’s words sounded more truthful to me.
17, in Highschool, based ELA teacher had be pick out any book on his shelf. I picked a Rush book, changed my world, had lots of chats about the world with that teacher after school.
I think my brother told me about him... then I started listening on the radio and then discovered his tv show.... around the Dan's Bake Sale era.
I think it was the fact that Slick Willie got elected that really launched him into the stratosphere
I remember seeing his TV show a few times and when I was in my mid 20's I started to hear him on the radio an office manager had on. Back then, I would have said republicans where nuts and conspiracy kooks. But as I got older and started to realize the world we live in, I came to start listing to Rush on my own and have tried my best over the years to listen when I am able to. Once he is gone, no one will be able to fill his shoes. The trust and respect he has earned over the years will never be matched.
1993: my dad watched him on TV and to this day I remember watching that VCR tape on rewind hundreds of times because he said “I wanna play this for you folks, this is my favorite song right now” then played the first 2 minutes of Peter Gabriel’s ‘Steam’ music video and followed by saying “alright folks, we better cut that off before the audience starts thinking they’re watching MTV”. He’s always been there on radio since
The year was around 1993 or 1995 around there, I'm driving back from a meeting in vega$ with high end excutives back to the office with a 900K check from the new york new york. I'm 25 years old or so. I'm driving back to the shop (construction hotels) and I just all of the sudden got tired of all the music on the radio for some reason. I felt like i was done you know? So - changed to AM radio and that was it for me! Talk radio was born for me. Rush? Yeah! ~ but then it became larger, Savage, Coast to Coast / (art bell was still alive (F) ) It just changed my entire life! Linda Moulton Howe I love you and love all the radio groovy cats!
Sorry for long post - God bless rush
p.s, Also George Knapp KLAS
Driving back to college from a break. I instantly thought: "He thinks like me." Little did know, that I thought like him.
I was a long time Dem. Slowly become an independent. I thought Rush was a loser and a hater on Obama. Even tho I didn't like Obama. My father use to listen to Rush on the radio to pass time. I slowly got redpilled and now here we are!
Fyi the only reason I thought he we a loser and a hater is because of Facebook and the media. I not once heard him when I thought like that. This is the same with my friends who hate Trump. They have never heard not one single FULL speech from Trump. Our laziness and ease of relying on other people's words will be our downfall.
I’m an Aussie pede who didn’t take much notice of American politics till 2009.
My introduction to Rush was that episode of family guy, where Brian the ever uneducated parrot liberal, protests and calls Rush out - Rush invites Brian to read his book, and Brian does. After seeing a clear concise and logical narrative on the pages of Rush’s book, Brian decides he too is a conservative.
I took a lot away from that episode, usually family guy likes to take cheap shots at political figures (while leaning heavily left in their bias) but they showed Rush as a reasonable and respectful person.
Brian was the epitome of vapid empty liberal mind, repeating talking points and protest points with zero education on the issues they seem to fight so hard over. It was quite refreshing to see Family Guy taking a swing at these hollow liberal idiots. Even moderate liberals hate the hollow fuckers that do nothing but chant.
Anyway, I did my digging and learned what I could about Rush after that. And while I’m not a diehard fan, I always enjoy his clips or recordings when I stumble across them. A lot of respect for that man.
The year was probably the early 90s. I was probably 10 or 12, and had no clue about politics.
My grandmother kept talking about "Rush Limbo" and I was trying to picture her on roller blades trying to duck under a pole.
My mom was a stay at home, every morning she would be listening. This is going back 30 something years
I was an avid WaPo, NYT, WSJ and LAT reader and began listening just to hear what was so outrageous about him.
Driving with my dad as a kid in the 90s, I never really got much of what he was saying being young, but that commercial outro sound is forever burned in my brain
Grandfather had him on every morning at the family business, I grew up with him
They wouldn't like to hear a drug addict used to listen to him slam the Clintons in the90s on his TV Show. Rush ruled.
Parents listened to him in the car when I was a kid. I later lost my uncle to suicide, probably the most based family member I knew. He was always jolly and had a commanding voice and joked just like Rush. Rush became my surrogate uncle after that.
Thank you, I appreciate it 🙏
In the early 90s, I went to NYC and saw a taping of the Rush Limbaugh TV show. I had been listening to the radio show for years and bought his books. During the show, Mr. Limbaugh saw the ear-to-ear smile on my face and made a comment and the camera zoomed on me. After the taping, Mr. Limbaugh signed the books I brought and chatted briefly. Very fun and awesome day!
My father and his father listened to Rush. I met him in the car on the way to and from school.
Grandfather break time every morning
I was a punk rock guy working in a bike shop in the early '90s. Got bored listening to the same old cassettes at work, and a buddy turned me on to the wonder of Rush. Been hooked ever since. People would hear him when they'd come in the store, and either love or hate him. I found a lot of kindred spirits. You can tell a lot about a person by how they feel about Rush Limbaugh.
Back before YouTube and iphones I wanted something to listen to while in the car, AM was far more interesting then FM.
I was driving as part of my job and was a commiefornia raised brainwashed leftist until about 9 years ago. Started listening to any talk radio in the car without static just to have a familiar voice keep me company while I drive- that station happened to be one with Rush every day. Everything he said made so much sense and blew my moronic social justice university trained weak mind. I live a better life now and I am a better person because of him. I truly love Rush and I can’t imagine not having his voice of reason with us around anyone. Praying for him every day.
Rush was a columnist for my Uncle's newspaper in the bay area of CA during the 80s. That is until my Uncle fired him because he received too many complaints. Cancel culture before woke culture. His newspaper eventually failed. I wonder why...get woke, get broke.
