We never listened to that kind of stuff when I grew up. At best we heard Dave Ramsey in the mornings on weekends (usually on the way to church), and otherwise it was soft rock.
I first got tuned into radio in 2015 or so, first to Sean Hannity. Mainly because my work schedule at the time allowed me to listen to him on the way back from work or heading up to Columbia for college classes (slightly related, but I REALLY wish he'd go back to "This is How We Roll". So much better than "We're COmin' to your City"(name check?). I could almost say he went downhill at about the same time that he changed his hour-opening song, imo). This was about the same time as the Iran Nuclear Deal was going on, which is what basically solidified me into being Conservative/Right-leaning. IN any case, after a year or so I kinda started falling off of him, and about that time I was better able to listen in the 10-2 area due to new hours, which got me into Rush. I basically only want to listen to him and Mark Levin.
Also had to deal with Michael Savage because he was on both when I came home from work and night classes at college. He was nice then but I really don't like him now. Too smarmy. Thankfully nowadays Mark Levin is in his timeslot, though if I'm too late for him I can just listen to Joe Pags.
Basically, Gary Nolan in the morning, Rush after him, I tune out after 2 to 6 or 7, then Mark Levin, and catch an hour of Joe Pags if I'm out that late. Central MO pede, so that's the lineups in general for KWOS out of Zimmer.
I thought “This is how we roll” was the start of the milk curdling, ackshully...
I miss when it was “Independence Day” opening the show.
