Are we naive? The moment that you become a congressman or a senator in the most powerful country in america, global interests come knocking. These senators and Congressmen have an opportunity to leverage massive amounts of money towards causes that they find important, while also getting huge kickbacks and a lot of different forms. We are naive if we pretend like this isn't happening.
The problem with America is that we don't have any unifying feature anymore. Now that it has been decided that America is not a historically caucasian, judeo-christian, free market capitalist Republic, we have no soul anymore. America is just a place that people go to make as much money as possible, while selling their fellow countrymen out all the while. Without ethno-nationalism, there is no nationalism.
The way to stop all this is to make it illegal, upon pain of removal from office to prison, for any elected official, from The President down to the local sheriff, to accept any money from overseas or become a member of such organisations as this. If you are elected in America by Americans, you serve Americans only.
