I don't think they're even testing for influenza this year.

And the CDC isn't even tracking it this season, LOL.

That really angers me because any scientist will tell you it's vital to keep tracking the data, even if the fact that we're all masked up and locked down is messing it up. Distorted data where they can say "This is the year everyone was taking precautions against the Wuhan virus" is better than none at all, and it would have told us something about the effectiveness of masks against the flu.

"Scientists"? I don't think we have any of those left. Unless you mean those brainless talking things on TV.

That is what I have thought too. It is actually a chance to gather data on several factors we may never have the chance to gather on again. Not just the masks, but all of the steps being taken. It would be really interesting to know what effect that will have on the flu or even the common cold.

They stopped testing & tracking when flu & pneumonia numbers declined by the same numbers COVID was increasing. They likely stopped tracking only influenza rather than both influenza & pneumonia so the lie isn't as obvious.

The CDC is showing that they are tracking it...see:

https://ma.ga/nnRPy

taken from the CDC Fluview site.

HOWEVER, this pretty well indicates that the numbers so far since the end of last years flu season are amazingly low...or should I say unbelievably low. I haven't looked yet to see if the poster you replied to is accurate in that there's not much testing going on for flu this year. I'm guessing the super-low numbers are due to not testing, but have no data to support that yet. I don't think there's any reason to believe the flu season we are currently entering would be significantly different than any other average flu season. I usually track flu numbers throughout flu season for fun (yeah, I know, I'm weird) so it'll be interesting to see what the data shows this season as compared to previous. Again, as a guess, it'll be an historically low flu season. Most likely due to lack of influenza testing and focus on wuflu. One might become rather sick, but it'll either be a positive or negative covid test, and if it's negative, it just goes by the wayside. So, i think the tracking will be occurring, but the testing will not.

Yes they are... It's terrible. Of the 85,746 people tested over the past 30 days 49 were stricken down by this insidious virus. THIS is a serious problem guys. .05% of the population who gets the sniffles is getting the flu.

It's become all-too-clear what we must do. We must shut down the fucking economy, keep our kids at home, wear cloth we can breath through, over our faces and print Trillions of dollars until we get this infection rate of people tested, down to 0%.

See the daily carnage here: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

Seriously though, just scroll to the table on this page, it's updated daily so you can laugh your ass off. Also, they used to show the % of all tests that were positive, but obviously that doesn't work with the liberal narrative, so now they show % of positive tests per strain, making retards think we've got a real flu problem. it's literally 0.057%. As of today, there were 49 positives out of 85,746 (I'd link a pic, but this is a weird reddit knockoff), but feel free to do the math.

They are testing for the FLU and tracking it, it is automated right from the care giver and uploaded to county, state and federal system.

They are. We're at 0.3% positive tests

If anyone believes that flu has been eradicated, they are ignorant sheep.

Are you actually retarded, or do you just play one at TD?

SkullE 6 points ago +6 / -0

I think he’s saying that the COVID test can’t tell the difference between the flu and COVID so yes the flu is still around obviously.

DonJr2032 4 points ago +4 / -0

Perhaps, but there are many media articles out there claiming that flu has all but been eliminated:

So what you're saying is that this "flu" is even more deadly than COVID?

Governors! Lock me down now!

booblitchutz 13 points ago +13 / -0

The flu causes fever, cough, body aches and lethargy and can escalate into a secondary respiratory infection.

EXACTLY WHAT COVID DOES

curious....

DarkSamus61 13 points ago +13 / -0

At this point, if someone told me the covid vaccine was just a rebranded flu vaccine I wouldn't be surprised.

11
trump2036 11 points ago +11 / -0

Heart attacks and motorcycle accidents too.

They aren't even hiding it. CDC has been including influenza and bacterial pneumonia in the COVID numbers since March. This should not be a shock to anyone.
