Presidential Medals of Freedom inbound
No, not for merely doing their public service jobs with integrity.
Sidney and Rudy, on he other hand, deserve the honor.
I gotta disagree there. I'm a dad. If someone were to threaten your children in such a way many people would fold. These are just city level people. They don't have bodyguards. They probably have day jobs. They did the right thing. Sometimes doing the right thing is hard. We should acknowledge that.
I agree with all that. But my reply was to 'Presidential Medals of Freedom'.
Ah. I get it. To be honest, medals are nice but if I were in Their shoes I would appreciate members of my community showing up on my behalf a lot more. The take away from the DC March and the proud boys the other day seems to be that our side better learn quick how to stick together when the rubber meats the road. It's a hang together or hang separate situation.
To be fair, that's still a lot more than a lot of other "Republicans" are doing.
No you reward people for doing the right thing, but we don't expect it back. The reward is freedom and a good reputation. We praise good behavior as a side effect of this reputation.
We respond to bad stimulii 3-10x more than positive stimulii. We must make up the difference to encourage that stand.
