I prefer mot to wear a mask. I maintain social distancing while out and about.

So far no one has said anything to me, and many grocery store workers seem happy to see someone without a mask. I’m betting they are secretly hoping more people would refuse to wear them, so this would end quicker and they would not be forced to wear them all day long. This is my way of helping.

Unfortunately, I am hearing about people being accosted and berated for not wearing a muzzle.

I propose we use this as a thread to come up with effective responses for those interactions. We need to admit— the mask mandates are a BRILLIANT control tactic. We cannot let them get away with it.

How do we rebut it without going viral and losing our jobs? How can we educate and deescalate?

I like “ I’m almost done.” I’m in AZ, too!

Education is a lost cause.

But lawsuits and/or violence are the only two things people in America understand anymore.

I use "thanks for your concern, but I dont have the virus."

"No, thanks, I got over those 'let's pretend the floor is lava' games when I was about 12.'

"Really though, I wouldn't want you to miss my pretty smile."

You can always go with the classic "medical exemption" but I prefer to just tell people "no. not wearing a mask" being straight up. I don't wear a mask and noticed the two or three weeks before the election I was getting a lot less rude comments and dirty stares, seems like since the election it has gotten more frequent again. Who cares though?

Sometimes it’s other customers that can be rude about it. I told one person that if they were so concerned about the virus then they need to just quarantine in their home. I then turned and walked away.

Best one I have heard so far, “It’s illegal for me to wear a mask while I’m carrying a firearm.”
