Two party systems tend to be a lie. Both parties tend to be paid by the same money to push their agenda. It's very bad in Australia, anytime you see a new policy that greatly affects the freedoms and privacy of individuals here, you'll usually see both parties support it in great numbers. The US is no different, give any government enough time and it will be prone to corruption. That's why career politicians will always be dangerous, because you don't get to the top without kneeling before those who allow it.
