i didn't invent anything. morse code is not what i was looking at. not sure you are old enough to have had modem dial into a bbs at 300 1200 2400 baud modems.

It's called APRS (Amateur Packet Radio Service). There's relays all over the place. You need your FCC license to use it. Read a $5 ebook and take a $10 exam and you're licensed.

i am no nellie ohr but it sounds doable. would be great to have it in a package you could buy. like a Raspberry PI zero and a cheap transceiver. if they shut this board down which i would bet money they will after jan 20 we will need it.

Cheap radios are already available (from China lol). There's software for Raspberry Pi and pretty much any other computer including android. Basically emulates a 300 or 1200 baud modem with some simple protocol on top. Local clubs all over the place run relay stations. If you're interested find your local club.
