Could also be this -- ballot was mailed by voter, but the ballot was rejected due to voter error regarding the envelope; voter was notified and voter requested another ballot but then the voter didn't return that ballot.
Ballot Status Reason: Returned -- meaning they returned it and it counted.
Ballot Delivery Method: Mail
If they turned in a ballot in any other way but MAIL, it would have and should have made the mail ballot "Inactive", and thus not a part of the data shown.
Also the real number of votes returned prior to being sent was 702. The number shown here was just Dane County.
Why would the state even send out a ballot on 11/1?? First off, its a Sunday. Secondly, who in the right mind would expect a less-than two day turn-around from ballot sent to ballot returned?
Looking further down this picture, there is a 11/2 date on here too. How many are there in the dataset where ballot-sent date is after Friday 10/30?
Edit: Has the USPS ever delivered mail on Monday that was posted on Sunday, the day before?
The state and what seemed to be another nonprofit sent out new ballots requests every single days for weeks, some of them were for a nonexistant internet name. How they even connected that to my address I'd like to know.
