You exist for my entertainment. Some of you are great eye candy. Some of you can deliver a line with such conviction that you bring me to tears. Some of you can scare the crap out of me. Others make me laugh.
But you all have one thing in common: you only have a place in my world to entertain me.

You see, you aren't real. I turn off my TV or shut down my computer and you cease to exist in my world. Once I am done with you, I can put you back in your little box until I want you to entertain me again. I don't care that you don't like Mr. Trump. But I bet you looked cute saying it. Get back into your bubble. I'll let you know when I'm in the mood for something blue and shiny.

And THAT truth is exactly how I ended up giving up movie theaters and cable TV. I could no longer believe the character they were portraying because all I could see was an pile of politidicks. It took a full decade to decouple, and interestingly enough it's much easier to see thru people's narratives. Many people's reality is an existence blurred between cognitive dissonance and the fantasies they watch on TV and screen.
same, over the past few years I have watched less and less, used to be a big movie buff. Just have no interest in the majority of films or television anymore.
Thats the reason I now only really watch Anime. Western films and tv shows are overly political and full of diversity hires who can't act to save their lives.
