Which is of course stupid because the mask doesn't protect the wearer from slow moving aerosolized particles coming in, so why would anyone think it stops fast moving particles from getting out?

The best, most concise encapsulization of this I've seen yet. Well done!
I'm constantly asking people how they think the thin damp cloth knows which direction the virus particles are traveling.
The most annoying thing is when they say it’s like If neither of us are wearing pants we get piss all over each other, if I am wearing pants, I am more protected but you can still piss on my pants, if you also are wearing pants then the piss stays in your pants and on you. So it’s better if we both have masks
Great scenario...except the reality is we are both sitting in a pool wearing pants and pissing.
Yes, having a progressively wetter and gamy rag covering my mouth and nose at all times is a very dignified way to live.
You're correct of course but what I find silly about it is that the air is basically put under additional pressure when it escapes from the sides of the mask. They're basically just trading a forward-moving breath for one that shoots out both sides of your face. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it makes it spread worse.
Doctors know this. I heard one say because of that if they sneeze in the operating theater they do NOT turn their head. They lean back away from the table while still facing it.
And that's why we have immune systems. Deaths in anyone over the average life expectancy are irrelevant. They're playing with the house's chips at that point anyway.

Exactly. However, that's the counter to studies showing masks don't work. That counter has been deployed for months.

Thank you!

Oh wow. Yeah if I felt one coming on in that case I'd try my best just to leave the table.

Isn’t that NOT how viruses work?
