It's a virus, masking is actually FORCING it to adapt and mutate faster to make itself even more contagious to humans. I guarantee it's figured out how to live on most surfaces (out of sunlight) for hours upon hours by now. Masking will assist if you are a carrier of the virus, but that's about it.
