Confusion is demoralizing, and demoralized people are very easy to condition.

If you want a good picture of demoralization in action and have a lot to time to waste, watch this lib talk for an hour in 2014 then read his Wikipedia article and related links while keeping in mind everything he said, particularly the parts that weren't wrong.

So all 2 of you who do that will see he's a sneaky misdirecting hypocrite! Literally this Yale CFR guy describing what globalism does to countries while simultaneously preaching Russophobia and crass Eurolatry (don't go look that up, it's a word I just invented as an antonym of Euroskepticism) instead of sane "good fences" policy like Trump has been setting up for the past four years (also one of his books shits on the title of a much better thinker, Hayek). Likewise on record repeatedly claiming Trump is yet another Hitler.

But he has one point, because he illustrated it well talking about Fox and RT. The confusion works quite well, because most people never get a solid training in philosophy that tells you the answer to "I don't know what to believe!" isn't "the first thing that sounds alright", it's "I have the power to hold no opinion before I hear the facts".
