The point is, they are starting to get considerable backlash on certain aspects of their plan the masses aren't willing to accept right now. They are scrubbing their content on these aspects, not because they have actually changed plans, but because they don't want it broadcast anymore. They will later reintroduce when they've crafted the appropriate level of doublespeak.

We need to archive all we can about it to hold their feet to the fire.
