I know right what kind of fucking Libertarian is pro illegal immigration and open borders? Sounds more like progressive to me.

Isn’t the whole point of the libertarian party for the dems to siphon votes from republicans?

2
LatitudeofMind 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes and the clearest evidence is when bill weld shilled for hillary toward the end of 2016

DragonEnergyDick 10 points ago +10 / -0

They stole Jo votes too lol

socal_maga 5 points ago +5 / -0

Appreciate that.

God damnit all this blaming Jo Jorgenson shit is just a shill attempt to vindicate the Biden steal. Blaming the Libertarians is implicitly accepting that it was a close election where for some odd reason potential Trump supporters voted Libertarian thus leading to a Biden win. What really happened, what we were seeing right before everybody stopped counting all at once, was a Trump landslide only to be replaced at 4am with a faked close election. Jo Jorgenson is totally irrelevant in every possible way.

ProphetOfKek 8 points ago +8 / -0

Exactly. Jo Jorgensen didn’t make 150k votes appear out of thin air in a swing state or cause voting machines to flip votes.

LatitudeofMind 1 point ago +1 / -0

Criticizing Libertards is completely valid. We can walk and chew gum.

1
WishdoctorsSong 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, but laying the blame on the Libertards for a Trump "loss" is a roundabout way of trying to validate Biden. Libertarians can be foolish and naive and still not be the cause of the electoral situation we're in right now.

1
LatitudeofMind 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fraud is the primary reason yes

1
WishdoctorsSong 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly, and this meme and the multiples we've seen trying to blame the Libertarians are really attempts to try and avoid laying the blame where it belongs, at the rampant and coordinated fraud perpetrated by the DNC and apparently Republicans like Kemp as well.

Kekbewithus 7 points ago +7 / -0

Plot twist, the libertarians in swing states who voted for Jo Jorgenson also voted for Biden.

6
Formerlurker92 6 points ago +7 / -1

No matter how many libertarians changed their vote to trump, the dems would have found the votes to nullify them. This isn't their fault.

Still a dumb choice

5
KillJackDorsey 5 points ago +5 / -0

Trump is the most libertarian president in a long time

5
AlFreeman 5 points ago +6 / -1

As a card carrying libertarian, I concur. Most libertarians have no fucking clue what is going on. Because the duopoly has always been swamp creatures, they can't wrap their brains around the idea that Trump and the MAGA movement aren't the same old shit. TBF, it took me a little while to realize that myself.

Yeah, that's true considering they got 1/3 the votes as 2016. I know many that didn't vote at all. My impression of Jo Jorgensen voters is disillusioned Bernie Tulsi, and Yang supporters.

I'm a Libertarian in NC and voted for Trump. Jo didn't live up to Ron/Rand Paul and NC has apparently been too close to Democrat victories. Republicans aren't as consistent and principled as Libertarians, with some of the worst offenders being Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney. Mitchell McConnell Jr. is garbage most of the time, but I can admit he really knows how to hold the line when Democrats go crazy. If Trump loses, I blame the impropriety, fraud, and cowardly Republicans that backed down at the first sign of conflict. The Republicans that let the Democrats walk all over them are the reason they lose ground over time. Look at the last 30 years and see a story of the Right always ceding ground to the Left and failing to stand up to the various Leftist attacks.

2
MakeAmericaLegendary 2 points ago +2 / -0

The problem is that libertarians are too consistent and won't bend even a single degree to score a major win. We don't live in a perfect world and never will, so we're going to have to make imperfect decisions to compensate.

what should be done is that these criminals doing the voter fraud must be exposed, caught, and very publicly punished for their high crimes against the republic. This is not just some traffic stop they oversaw, if a regular person did even 0.1% as big fraud as them, we'd be in front of a firing squad already.

randomacct1024 2 points ago +3 / -1

just FYI: a lot of libertarians voted for trump.

also, a lot of libertarians arent actually libertarians. They are communists. no joke. they call themselves "libertarian socialists" which is really "anarcho-communists".

Hence the ones bitching are more than likely the ones that will be taking helicopter rides

Libertarian who voted Trump, right here. Trump might not he a libertarian but he's the best chance we've all got to keep communism out of the USA. I get it.

Hey Pedes,

I want to address several things I'm seeing in the comments, and keep in mind I'm but a simple meme maker.

  1. I have no issue if you hold Libertarian principles. However, in my view if your candidate has no chance of winning, and the election will be close, why wouldn't you vote for the person whose ideals most closely resemble your own?

  2. The Democrats would absolutely still steal this election, even if all of the libertarians need to vote for Trump. However it makes it much harder to cover up that many more thousands of votes.

  3. The voting difference in Wisconsin is 20,000 votes. Jo Jorgensen received 40,000. In Georgia, Biden's lead is 14,000. Jorgensen received 60,000. Arizona, Biden leads by 10,000. Jorgensen received 50,000. If President Trump receives just half of those votes, we are looking at a very different election (assuming, of course, that the Dems didn't and wouldn't cheat, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary).

  4. President Trump has been one of the most libertarian presidents in a very long while. Cutting taxes. No new wars. Keeping the government out of the bedroom. What part of the Biden/Harris agenda makes you think that they would be more respectful of your rights than President Trump?

That's all for now. HAVE FAITH AND HOLD THE LINE PEDES!

[Insert Doom Paul meme here]

1
MakeAmericaLegendary 1 point ago +1 / -0

It wouldn't have mattered. As much as my beliefs and libertarian beliefs grind against each other, Democrats would have just cheated as many votes as they wanted anyway.

If you consider yourself a Libertarian and didn't vote for Trump, you either have mental problems or you just have no fucking idea what's going on in the world.

1
Itateeverybody 1 point ago +1 / -0

Libertarians are left leaning on everything minus taxes and guns. They are not our ideological allies. They are for degeneracy and open borders.

They wouldve never voted Trump regardless. This election was stolen...not lost.

1
Birbistheworb 1 point ago +1 / -0

Republicans aren't our ideological allies either. A good amount of trump supporters do not like the republican party of old, and will not be supporting them 2024-on unless they change the platform big time.

This is where 3rd party comes in.

I imagine it's much the same way on the left, but some of them have too much TDS to swallow voting for Trump. So they just vote 3rd party because they cant stand the idea of voting for Biden.

1
Itateeverybody 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh I understand.

I was simply pointing out that Libertarians aren't "splitting the Republcan vote" and that we should shame them over it anymore than we would shame the Greens.

Libertarians aren't us, sure we hold some common beliefs, but blaming them for election fraud against our candidate is kinda stupid given the facts surrounding this election.

1
TheGulagKnownAsCA 1 point ago +1 / -0

Honestly can’t stand people who vote 3rd party. I get it, maybe their candidates align more with your views, but practically and realistically a 3rd party candidate has no chance of winning. Make the compromise and vote for one of the two likely winners even though you don’t agree with them 100% - like literally every other fucking American. It’s like someone asking you if you want chicken or beef for dinner because that’s all you have in the fridge and you adamantly insist on having pork.

Studies have shown that roughly 80% of libertarians would vote Republican if they absolutely had to. If they did, most states’ elections wouldn’t even be close and this country would be basically all red.

TheGulagKnownAsCA 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you jump the Republican ship to avoid voting for their deep state candidate, practically speaking, how does voting 3rd party accomplish anything? You’re not affecting the margin of votes in a meaningful way. Voting 3rd party keeps the margin between Dem and Repub constant, the same outcome as just not voting at all.

TheGulagKnownAsCA 1 point ago +1 / -0

Every election you are supposed to be voting for a president of the current election cycle, not voting in the hopes that there will be more or better options in the next election cycle. Going back to the dinner analogy, you're refusing to make a meaningful choice to affect the here and now in the hopes that tomorrow the thing you want today will be on the menu. Not really very productive.

Something with 3rd parties needs to change. Either they need to be way more aggressive about drumming up support, or rules for their exposure on the national stage need to be reconsidered. But the current approach of "we'll just do our thing and leech votes off of one party or the other until something big happens" seems to be getting nowhere.

If Trump got 1% more votes from Independents, they just would have manufactured more votes in GA, PA, WI, MI, AZ, NV, and VA
