Not only this, consider the current tax code. If you tax the rich, who provide the jobs and have the connections they are just going to pass those costs onto employees with lower wages.
In large part we are experiencing what happened in the late stages of ancient Rome when wealthy landowners were give a taxation responsibility and they then had to collect from their "peasants". It was the creation of serfdom.
And it's what we are seeing now. So idiots who think a progressive tax is great are only arguing for their own enslavement.
Exactly go to Russia or Ukraine and no one pays taxes. But they just print money and skim it off corporations who are in bed with the government. People do not understand they can tax you indirectly through your employers or much more deviously through inflation.
Ditching the US dollar and using bitcoin or alternate payment options would be far more effective. Get off their crooked accounting scheme.
You cant. Employers are required to withhold. If you change your withholding so nothing comes out of your check, then dont pay at end of year, IRS will come with guns and repo your house. Government has the force of threat of violence against you. Taxes like this, in my opinion, should be outlawed. the only taxes should be USE taxes or purchase taxes. Taxing wealth building activities is asinine.

I want to try that. But I don’t work and my husband does and he thinks I’m overboard. Ugh. I need to expand my options of rebelling.
Why should we pay taxes if we don't get to be represented? We have to do anything and everything we can.
