I think everyone should protest this decision with a March, with floats and throwing mardi gras beads to show our defiance against this decision.

Floats are strictly regulated by the city (up until a few years ago there was only 1 company allowed to make them). The streets the parades are on are high traffic streets that are shut down by the city for the parades. It won’t be physically possible to have walking krewes use the traditional routes.

Also, throws (aka beads and shit) are expensive af.

This is stupid and pisses off, but not enough that I’d go into the city to play in traffic and spend hundreds of dollars on junk to do it.

I personally don't mind watching the big city politicos self destruct. I've lived 200 miles away for most of my life and never once went there for pleasure. I went there once on business and got out as fast as I could.

I live 2 hours from Nola, very disappointed in this decision. The whole city calls her "Latoya the Destroya". Everyone hates her

Louisiana has mostly red counties, or as they call them parishes that I'm sure would love to host these parades. Democrat destruction 100%

Biggest money maker for the bars all year. Let’s just kill the cities tax revenue for sure this year.
