All making sense now. Trump has known about this since taking office and being spied on himself.

He willingly let them do it again under secret supervision during the midterms so that they could gather more intel on how to defeat it.

They had to let them go through with the steal (commit an actual crime) in 2020 in order to prosecute.

Now, they have it all and are compiling all the evidence.
