When are we going to have a higher power tell governors "executive orders" are not enforceable law?

46
202020242028 [S] 46 points ago +46 / -0

We are the higher power. We tell them when we stop complying.

Yeap. Don’t have to be violent. Don’t have to go overboard. Business owners need to take down all signs related to covid and open. They chain your door. Buy bolt cutters. They “fine” you. Don’t pay. Go to jail get out and do it again. In a large city 20 or so businesses doing this would put a massive strain on the system. May allow for class action against the city as well. We had one business stand up in Anchorage. God bless that guy. A ton of people donated to cover his legal costs and his business sold out of food like 6 days in a row from 12-3.

Stop paying taxes

6
2SmoothGQ 6 points ago +7 / -1

Unfortunately that’s almost impossible to do unless you just quit society and go into the woods. I guess employees could start setting their deductions to max and refusing to pay at the end of year. Then they just start garnishing. It’s a shit situation.

Edit: part of me wants to try. Like buy a sailboat and disappear.

Civil resistance.

3

I wish I owned a storefront just to do this.

2
2SmoothGQ 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed. Just support any business that does. I’ve always wanted to own a business and now it just seems like an even riskier prospect...

3
VetforTrump2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thank you sir. Why is everyone waiting to act like free men. Some African slaves had the same problem.. they stayed on the plantation

2
HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hard to not comply when they shut down ice arenas. Walz is a bastard.

18
Chopblock 18 points ago +18 / -0

It’s called the first amendment, you petty tyrants. YOU DON’T HAVE THE POWER TO PROHIBIT PEACEFUL ASSEMBLY, AND YOU NEVER DID.

HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

To be fair, many of us are ignoring it, however if they shut down ice arenas I have no where to take my kid too play hockey. If I knew of an underground “speakeasy” arena, we would be there in a heartbeat. But the tyrant governor shut down arenas. And it is too warm for outdoor ice right now.

When is MN going to have a rally? Sounds like Walz created an opportune time

30
YugeBallsBelieveMe 30 points ago +31 / -1

Sue them, violation of the first amendment, assuming we still abide by the constitution here

11
BeerAndCope 11 points ago +12 / -1

So basically we have no rights and the government can do anything they want to us. Sweet.

9
BrakeRemovalMechanic 9 points ago +9 / -0

I'd like them to cite the Constitutional amendment that says "unless some people have the coof". The losers who decided that need to resign in shame.

3
HockeyMom4Trump 3 points ago +3 / -0

A coof with a 99 percent recovery rate

3
fapoo 3 points ago +3 / -0

State supreme court i imagine? No way SCOTUS would rule that

2

3
VetforTrump2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Supreme Court is wrong then. Im Free and even.they can't fuck with me. Ever hear of unalienable? Un lien able. A lien is a bond claim against you. We think they give us our rights, they don't, they govern by consent and mine is revoked.

Whatever, I meant we need to fight this shit through the courts

2
TrancePhreak 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is what I am thinking as well. Barr said he would do this, but he is deactivated.

26
shbuc73 26 points ago +26 / -0

The more states that keep getting shut down the more I think shit is going to go nuclear. I had a nagging feeling before the election that fuckery was going to be afoot with the election and now that same feeling tells me that everything is going to be released and people are going to lose their shit.

11
XxTheSargexX 11 points ago +11 / -0

I think you're correct. In the event this election looks like they did really get away with it, Trump should go ahead and declassify EVERYTHING that is classified. Watch the left implode on themselves.

3
VetforTrump2 3 points ago +3 / -0

We are so winning. Can't you feel it. I smell blood in the water.

First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I’ve been hanging out with my friends since May and been seeing my grandma at my house since the start of the pandemic. You can not control what people do on private property. That is completely unconstitutional and unenforceable.

This isn't about Thanksgiving dinner. It's about the march that happened last Saturday. And those to come. They're scared. This is a preemptive act.

5
XxTheSargexX 5 points ago +5 / -0

It is a test to see what rights we are willing to give up.

Bill Of Rights, the very first one;

Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Once they get away with taking that one, the others are already gone.

4
EvJohn 4 points ago +4 / -0

REally seems a preemptive strike against us massing in the streets. They're scared.

4
WildSauce 4 points ago +4 / -0

But you know there is a 0% chance that they use these orders against the leftist riots that will happen when Trump ends up winning this thing.

1

Yes yes yes

4
ODOnRedPill 4 points ago +4 / -0

This ONLY works if people listen to it. Just fuck 'em. Go about your business.

Business owners - stay open! Put signs out and welcome people in! Let them wear masks if they want to...or not. Either way no legislation has been passed that actually makes it a lot so FUCK THEM.

4
PhantomShield72 4 points ago +4 / -0

The consent of the governed is about to be revoked.

3
BeerAndCope 3 points ago +3 / -0

Right to peacefully assemble. 1st fucking amendment. Couldn’t be clearer. This couldn’t more clearly violate that. How in the fuck is this not being ruled unconstitutional?

3
ItsOKtoVoteTrump 3 points ago +3 / -0

We are witnessing the last futile squeezes of power before the Perp walks begin.

3

Who the fuck are they. Fuck these people telling us to stay home and stay safe while they drink wine and party in castles. Fuck these fucking fucks. Fuck

3
pharmacyman848 3 points ago +3 / -0

This has gone fucking insane! How can any moderate democrats not rebel against this nonsense? Or are there no moderate democrats left? Seriously how do these people think they’re just gonna get away with trying to outlaw hanging out with people in your house

3
SyNiKaLiTy 3 points ago +3 / -0

So... that's a blatant trampeling of the first amendment.... Hope MN officials like getting tramped by their own people...

3

If i was a rich man to be able to travel anywhere i wanted THESE TYRANT GOVERNORS WOULD HATE ME.

2
stormcloud 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, that fat fuck of a governor put a "partial" lockdown in effect here too -- starting Monday. No private gatherings outside of household members. I don't think a lot of people are going to comply.

2
deleted 2 points ago +2 / -0
2
Thathurtsmyfeelings1 2 points ago +2 / -0

What's funny is that people are actually taking them seriously.

1
HockeyMom4Trump 1 point ago +1 / -0

The liberal fuckers in MN love it. They are so excited about another lockdown. They are making more masks to celebrate.

I think since hockey is now cancelled and school is totally online, I will be flying my family the fuck out of this shithole.

2
Wien1938 2 points ago +2 / -0

Unconstitutional. The people's right to assemble.

Who is he going to get to enforce it? The police they want to disband and defund, The National Guard which he didn't call when the cities burned for four days and four nights. No balz Walz we call him.
