The problem is that that the NYC metro are (NYC + Westchester + Long Island) has a population equal to the rest of the state. It looks tiny on the map, but that's actually also how the whole country is. Consider how there are red states with blue cities that voted for Hillary in 2016, like Atlanta, Louisville, New Orleans, Nashville, and Memphis. 2016 county map:

Long Island is strong Trump country, and became even more so in 2020. NYC proper is the only real holdout, but maybe a rural siege thing is possible. Where the upstate and long island areas team up and elect local govs and reps to just hold out and cuck the Dems on their crazy ideas. Do like Virginia and get pro 2A Sheriffs in office who refuse to enact any gun grabbing shit or other issues.

Im just sick of us only ever being on defense, trying to hold onto our parts of the country while Dems through millions behind trying to flip solid red areas to their cause despite how far fetched it actually is. I admire their balls. Even if you want to make the demographics excuse for Texas, then by that same rule all of New England and the north east should be up for grabs by us.

They districts need to be re-drawn. Cities are split up like pie pieces to grab as much rural area around them as possible.

Albany has had as many shootings per capita this year as CHICAGO! Mini-Chicago.

I wonder how much of an influence Dominion has had in NY. How many local elections are being turned?

Unfortunately covid is driving thousands upon thousands of citiots upstate. I live in Queens and the Catskills and they are coming up in droves and immediately getting into local politics and making it the city north. They run the local NPR station out of Roxbury. The DEP gives out speeding tickets and so on. Along with the political corruption we have to change the way people think about government. It is a long uphill climb.

This is why local elections are so important. We need to get serious and strike at these carpetbaggers. Call them out and their douchey fake "folksy" LARPing and tell them to fuck off.

I think New York has much more protentional than California to flip, and we should seriously put effort into flipping the last pockets of upstate to being MAGA country. Just look at NY in 2016 vs 2020 and how much more of it is going red

Appeal to the populist white working class aspects and we can make the Empire State great again

Most of the blue states are red everywhere else but the big cities
