It's not like they have Comcast up there! 480p continuous is pretty good for something orbiting the Earth every 90 minutes.
Every few hours, they fly through the "South Atlantic Anomoly" where the Earth's magnetic field is notably weaker. You can usually see sparkles on the camera feeds as exotic energized particles hit the camera's sensor.
While we're at it, can we get an HD camera or two on the live space station feed? Curious how it's still 480p, isn't it?

We bounce HD signals off orbiting satellites all day long, every day. To insinuate it's not feasible makes no sense to me.
