I have about 500 rounds of 9mm for my pistols, only one box of .357 Magnum for my revolver, and about 1100 in .223/5.56 NATO for my rifles. Should this be sufficient for now or should I look into getting more?

Ammo can always be used for bartering, don't limit yourself solely to the caliber of weapons you possess - if you can get a good deal on a couple hundred rounds of .22LR, it will certainly be of use to someone else. At some point there will be a shortage of food, water, environmental protection / clothing and first aid supplies if shit really, really hits the fan. Hard to have enough of everything.
As I learned early in the military, 30 rounds is only enough if there aren't 31 people on the other side of the hill.
Alcohol and tobacco to barter... ammo to hold on to them..
