What does that mean? If I was in power - no - I would never control what activities you personally are engaged with if they don’t hard others. But yes the companies might have to put warning signs on their products like cigarettes have - and possibly some awareness campaigns just like we have importance of exercise awareness campaigns.
Allowing these companies to freely enslave our youths with no alternatives and education to better recreational activities that have value... is where the problem lies.
And no - gamers who sit on their ass - don’t take part in school sports and become hermits is not good.
When I grew up sport was compulsory for kids. I got home every day at 6:30 pm after all my sport every day. My Saturday was also rugby game day.
It teaches - order -structure discipline - time management.
These days they go home to get lost in games and being brainwashed by these companies on top of it.

The problem is people wanting to control other people through collectivism. They decide what is good and bad and decide to make the rules that controls others. First it starts with little public financed information campaigns and then it ends with Draconian laws.
When I was growing up people used their Bible as an excuse to control others. Seems they figured out the very mind of their Creator by reading an English translation of some ancient script that had been passed down for generations through the art of story telling before said stories were written down.
An amazing accomplishment to be sure. As the old saying goes, some people worship themselves in God.
Now we have something much worse, Godless commies have gotten control of the levers of power. They will destroy everything that is decent in their deviant and decadent ascension to power. We will prevail, it will not be easy, but know this -
